The training was designed to teach employees about the latest transportation policies and procedures and provide hands-on scenarios for evacuation and emergency preparedness, according to a TISD news release.

Employees rotated through four stations that included the obstacle driving course, evacuation station to practice evacuation skills for students, EMS triage station to learn what to expect if a major accident happens, and a fire department presentation to reinforce the correct use of portable fire extinguishers.

The training took place in the Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium parking lot and at the Tyler Fire Department training facility, according to the news release.
