The Texas Department of Public Safety will be working on roads in seven counties this week.
Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas. The department also noted its offices will be closed today in observance of President’s Day, and reopen with regular hours tomorrow.
Crews will continue base and pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 287 between Texas 294 in Elkhart and the Houston County line.
Crews will begin widening the shoulders of Farm-to-Market Road 747 north, between U.S. Highway 79 and the end of state maintenance.
Crews will continue several weeks of pavement-repair work on U.S. Highway 80 between Loop 485 in Gladewater and the Upshur County line.
Crews will continue base and edge repairs on various park roads and camping pads in Martin Creek Lake State Park.
TxDOT crews are scheduled to continue edge work on Farm-to-Market Road 15 between Troup and the Rusk County Line.
Crews also are scheduled to begin edge work on Farm-to-Market Road 2015 between Farm-to-Market Road 14 near the Wood County line and Farm-to-Market Road 16 east of Winona.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY
Crews will begin fog seal operations on Interstate 20 between Farm-to-Market Road 1255 and the Smith County line.
Crews will make base and pavement repairs on Farm-to-Market Road 1254 east of Mineola.
A second crew is scheduled to make edge repairs on Farm-to-Market Road 1795 east of Hawkins.
