Tyler pastor Ross Strader has filed to run for the Tyler ISD school board.

Strader, 42, who is senior pastor at Bethel Bible Church, has served on the board since late December, when he was appointed as the District 5 trustee to replace Brad Spradlin, who resigned.

The District 5 special election to be held May 10 will serve to appoint a replacement to fill the remainder of Spradlin’s unexpired term, which ends in May 2015.

The District 2 and 4 positions also are going to be on the ballot.
