2 juveniles arrested Sunday for theft in Whitehouse

Two juveniles were arrested Sunday morning for theft.

The Smith County Sheriff’s Office and Whitehouse Police Department were called about criminal activity on Southpoint Road in Whitehouse at 4:29 a.m., according to a news release.

They found a juvenile with a gun and stolen property, including a riding lawn mower, utility trailer, alcohol bottles, two digital monitors and other items.

Witnesses told officials there was another person involved and law enforcement began searching the area, the release states.

While searching, officers found a large residential garage, motor home, travel trailer, and a pickup also that were broken into.

During the investigation, another juvenile was arrested, the release states. Both have lengthy criminal histories and are on probation in Smith County.

Their names were not released because of their age, the release states.
