(AP) - An undercover investigation has led to prison for two men who tried to sell a fully automatic machine gun at an East Texas truck stop.

Federal prosecutors on Thursday announced Colten David Barrow of Quinlan has been sentenced to two years in prison. Craig Marcus Cooper of Farmersville was sentenced to 18 months.

Barrow in September pleaded guilty to attempting to sell a machine gun. Cooper pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a machine gun.

Investigators say the men in January 2012 went to a truck stop in Van Zandt County to meet someone interested in buying the weapon for $10,000. The buyer was an undercover agent. Officers seized the weapon with the attached silencer.

Barrow was sentenced Wednesday in Tyler. Cooper was sentenced last Friday.
