Tyler ISD bond construction projects are swiftly moving from conception to reality, according to a news release this morning from the school district. The bond package passed by voters in May 2013 will add a state of the art Career and Technical Education Center at the corner of Earl Campbell Parkway and Bennett Avenue, new Moore MST Magnet School and Boulter Middle School campuses at their existing locations, a new middle school in the Three Lakes area and renovations and additions to Dixie and Rice elementary campuses.

The CTE Center has seen the most production at this point with all underground plumbing and utilities nearing completion. Additionally, more than two thousand yards of concrete have already been poured forming a road, parking lot and one building foundation. This month, the District will issue designs for bid for Moore and Boulter and has set a bid date of January 23 for the Three Lakes campus. Over the holiday break, 23 portable buildings were relocated and/or removed from the Moore, Boulter, Dixie and Rice campuses. Lastly, power services have been relocated and building pads constructed at Dixie and Rice to prepare for the renovations.
