CenterPoint Energy confirmed Monday that residents in a southeast Tyler neighborhood were without gas service on the coldest day of the winter so far.
Company spokesperson Olivia Ross said 50 to 100 customers in the area around Medina Drive were affected. Ross said work crew were on the scene attempting to fix the problem.
"We're not sure what the cause is right now," Ross said. "But we expect to get those pilot lights re-lit by sometime this afternoon."
Ross said the outage had begun early Monday morning.
