The Texas Medical Board announced an East Texas doctor is losing his license and another will have to take 20 hours of continuing medical education.

Dr. William Edward Brown, of Tyler, agreed to voluntarily have his medical license revoked in lieu of additional disciplinary proceedings.

Earlier the board found Brown violated terms of a five-year agreement with the Texas Physician Health Program by failing to complete required drug testing and a psychiatric evaluation. The board earlier said Brown had testing positive for prohibited substances.

The board announced Dr. David Warren Buller, of Gilmer, will have to take 20 hours of continuing medical education for failing to follow pain guidelines or keep adequate records.
