The Texas Department of Transportation will conduct a public meeting Tuesday evening on a proposal to expand Farm-to-Market Road 2493 in Flint.
The meeting is from 5 to 7 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church, according to a news release.
The proposed plans include widening FM 2493 — Old Jacksonville Highway — to five lanes between Farm-to-Market Road 2813 in Gresham and Farm-to-Market Road 346 in Flint. Plans also include the addition of sidewalks and leveling out a steep hill.
TxDOT representatives will be on hand to discuss a preferred design based on feedback generated from a previous public meeting held in June. Exhibits showing aerial photography and proposed schematic plans of the proposed 2.2-mile project corridor will be presented at the meeting. There will not be a formal presentation.
