The University of Texas at Tyler has gone to an online ticketing system for commencement ceremonies in an effort to simplify distribution.

The university partnered with University Tickets to offer the guest tickets in this way, according to a university news release.

All degree candidates will use their Patriot credentials to access the online ticketing system.

Each candidate’s ticket allotment is reserved for him or her to claim through Sunday, according to the news release.

With this system, students no longer have to claim their tickets on campus.

Additional features available with this system include: printable e-tickets, the option to donate any unneeded tickets to a pool for other students and the option to claim up to six additional tickets from any available pool.

On Monday, all unclaimed tickets will be reallocated to the ticket pool for students seeking additional tickets. These will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the news release.
