A former Whitehouse football star has been released from the University of Oklahoma team after being charged with with two felony counts of indecent exposure.
According to an article on the OU sports website, SoonerScoop.com, sophomore wide receiver Trey Metoyer admitted to exposing himself to two different victims in Norman.
"He's going through some things right now," said Jay Norvell Oct. 1. "He's trying to get his hands around it. And so we just wish him the best as he works his way through that."
It was reported that Metoyer did not suit up with the team for the game against TCU on October 5. Norvell commented on Oct. 8 that Metoyer was taking a break from football.
Coach Bob Stoops released this statement:
"Trey has not been with us since prior to the TCU game and at this time I do not anticipate that he will return to the team in the future."
SoonerScoop.com reports that OU also released a statement saying Metoyer has been suspended from the team indefinitely.
