Members of the 84th Texas Rose Festival court, as well as the festival's rich history and traditions, are highlighted in a special souvenir edition that comes out Saturday.
Tyler Morning Telegraph's 100-page souvenir magazine will be inserted in Saturday's paper for customers with home delivery.
It will be on sale for $14.99 at the Tyler Rose Museum, 420 Rose Park Drive, starting Saturday, and at the Tyler Morning Telegraph offices, 410 W. Erwin St., starting Monday.
The special edition features profiles of Rose Queen Emily Kaye Evans, Rose Duchess Caroline McGinley Bertram, prop designer and Tylerite Bob Cook as well as photographs and articles about the yearlong effort that goes into pulling off Tyler's signature event, which this year carries the theme Celestial Wonders.
The magazine also includes photos and bios of all members of the queen's court - attendants, ladies-in-waiting, out-of-town duchesses and escorts.
The volunteers who comprise the important committees that make the Texas Rose Festival events possible also are featured in the pages of the souvenir edition.
