Ms. Texas Senior Classic Pageant lauds excellence in women across Lone Star State

Patsy Crist, of Cumby, was crowned 2017 queen of the Ms. Texas Senior Classic Pageant.

The statewide competition was held at the Holiday Inn in Tyler on Saturday. This is the second consecutive year it was held in the Rose City.

Jo Anne McMeans, of Tyler, assistant pageant director and a former queen, said the event showcases contestants’ talents, passions, faith and Texas pride.

It also recognizes their accomplishments and provides an opportunity for enrichment and building of self-confidence and character.
