Pollard Theater Center to stage comedy Sept. 28-Oct. 1 as part of meal and show

Pollard Theater Center will stage “Sylvia” as part of its Dinner and a Show benefit Sept. 28 to Oct. 1

A meal will be served in Pollard United Methodist Church’s Spirit Life Center before performances will take place in the church parlor, Julie Miller, church representative, said.

The campus is located at 3030 New Copeland Road.

On Sept. 28 and 29 the meal will be served at 6 p.m. and the play will begin at 7:30 p.m.; on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, the meal will be served at 12:30 p.m. and the play will begin at 2 p.m., the announcement said.

“Sylvia” is a comedy about what happens when a dog arrives into the lives of an empty-nester couple who has just resettled in a city.

The cast under the direction of Arnold Sherman features Bill Perdue, Jinny Jo Harris, Georgi Dumas, Tom Marsh, and Brenda Korich, the announcement said.
