Patsy Besch, Master Gardener, will offer information about “Herbs in the Winter” as the First Tuesday in the Garden lecture series resumes Tuesday, organizers announced.

Her program will begin at noon in the IDEA Garden of the Tyler Rose Garden.

Ms. Besch’s love affair with herbs began during a trip to Williamsburg, Virginia. She decided that she should have a herb garden and has moved from herb beds to herbs in flower beds.

The lecture series is a monthly educational program sponsored by the Smith County Master Gardeners. It is free, open to the public and about an hour long.

The IDEA Garden is located in the southeast corner of the Rose Garden, with ample parking available outside the southeast gate. In case of inclement weather, the lecture will be moved inside the Rose Garden Center.
