Society of St. Vincent de Paul opens Tyler soup kitchen in partnership with East Texas Food Bank

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Tyler, a Catholic ministry that has long provided for the physical and spiritual needs of local residents, has opened a soup kitchen.

The Feed My Lambs soup kitchen opened Wednesday at the facility near the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. It is a partnership with the East Texas Food Bank.

The kitchen will serve meals every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with doors opening at 11 a.m.

“Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are aware that poverty, suffering and homelessness are present for hundreds in our communities,” East Texas Food Bank CEO Dennis Cullinane said. “For that reason, we are proud to be partnering with the Feed my Lambs program ...”
