Peltier to serve as Admirals Club visiting duchess

Kathryn Elizabeth Pel-tier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Pel-tier, of Tyler, will serve as a visiting duchess in the Admirals Club of Austin’s Royal Court, the service organization an-nounced.

Miss Peltier is also the queen of this year’s Texas Rose Festival, in Tyler in October. She is majoring in communications at The University of Tex-as at Austin.

John Francis Eltife, son of state Sen. and Mrs. Kev-in Eltife of Tyler, will serve as her escort.

As a member of the royal court, she will participate in the ball and other festivities hosted by the Admiral’s Club on Aug. 1 through Aug. 3.

The court includes six young women from Austin and 18 visiting duchesses.

The Admirals Club contributes to charitable organizations, including the Helping Hand Home for Children, Ronald McDonald House and the UT Blanton Art Museum.
