Smith County 4-H announced the launch of the 4-H Youth Archery Project Group.

Cevin Price, president of the Tyler Archery Club, will be the group’s certified coach, according to a statement from 4-H.

It will have its first meeting 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Tyler Archery Club, across Texas Highway 64 from the Oil Palace. Anyone interested may attend.

“We are so pleased that Smith County 4-H was able to recruit such a talented volunteer as Mr. Price, and we know he will be an invaluable asset to our program,” Sarah Bolt, Smith County Extension agent for 4-H Youth Development, said in the statement. “We have had so many people asking for an archery group, and I know that this project will be a huge success.”
