City employee recognized with Blueprint Blue Ribbon Award
City of Tyler employee Chris Lennon, code enforcement department leader, was recognized at the City Council meeting with the Blueprint Blue Ribbon Award on Nov. 8.
This award is used to recognize exceptional employee performance. Ideal candidates for the award are employees whose ideas or suggestions have improved productivity, saved money, improved efficiency or improved employee morale.
“He often goes over and above his job responsibilities by coordinating volunteers to assist the elderly or disabled address code violations that they are unable to take care of themselves,” said Tyler Police Chief Jimmy Toler. “He embodies the Blueprint Blue Ribbon and the Called to SERVE spirit of the City of Tyler.”
Lennon has been with the city for more than 12 years.
