For the 11th time, East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System has been named one of the nation’s most wired hospitals.

The 19th Annual HealthCare’s Most Wired survey results were released recently by the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Health Forum.

The survey is the leading industry barometer measuring information technology use and adoption among hospitals nationwide. The survey, representing more than 2,158 hospitals, examined how organizations are leveraging IT to improve performance for value-based healthcare in the areas of infrastructure, business and administrative management, quality and safety and clinical integration.

AWARDS

ETMC Marketing Services has won several national marketing awards for campaigns featuring the “We Care” theme and emergency care.

ETMC won three bronze Telly Awards, for television commercials with the “We Care for East Texas” theme. It also received an Aster Award and a Videographer Award of Excellence for a patient story called “A chance for Bo,” for special video production.

Healthcare Marketing Report, a national healthcare journal, awarded ETMC a gold award for the digital marketing program for “We Care”; a silver award for “Bo’s emergency”; a bronze award for “Healthy Lifestyle Upgrades” video; and two merit awards for an emergency care magazine ad and an overall ETMC TV spot.

NEW HIRES

MacKenzie Craddock completed an internship with Henry & Peters in the spring of 2016 and returned to the firm as a staff associate in the Tyler office on July 11. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting, and a Masters of Professional Accountancy in May of 2017.

Cameron Salome started with Henry & Peters as a part-time staff associate in the Accounting Solutions Department of the Tyler office on July 5. He graduated from Texas A&M University, with his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and Masters of Science in Accounting, with a tax specialization, in 2008.

Sandra Kuhn, CPA started with Henry & Peters as a staff associate in the Accounting Solutions Department of the Tyler office on June 26. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accountancy and Information Systems from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Kuhn has extensive experience in the Oil & Gas, and her previous employment includes companies such as Atlantic Operating, INC and IBEX Resources.

RECOGNIZED

Merrill Lynch has announced that financial advisors Karl Lindekugel and Ken Lackner of the LMT Wealth Management Group in Tyler have been recognized as top advisors by Barron’s magazine in its annual “America’s Top 1,200 Advisors: State-by-State” list.

Advisors considered for the ranking have a minimum of seven years financial services experience and have been employed at their current firm for at least one year.

Lindekugel resides in Tyler and has been a part of Merrill Lynch’s Tyler office for 38 years. Lackner also resides in Tyler and has been a part of Merrill Lynch’s Tyler office for 26 years.
