Construction of space for The Grand Piano Bar and Supper Club underway

Construction to a 4,419-square-foot space in the Progress Shopping Center in Tyler is being finished for The Grand Piano Bar and Supper Club.

The restaurant and night club will be at 5524 and 5526 Old Jacksonville Highway in the shopping center that also houses a donut shop, insurance agency and Progress Cleaners, according to documents filed with the city of Tyler. Woburn-Winslow LLC is the owner of the shopping center while Danny Burgess is listed as the tenant and This Old House Remodeling is the contractor for the $165,000 construction project.

Racquet & Jog is undergoing a $1.1 million renovation and addition at 5403 S. Broadway Ave. Work to the 11,687-square-foot building owned by The Genecov Group will include adding 4,600 square feet, as well as a 2,500-square-foot mezzanine. Sentry General Contractors Inc. is the contractor.

Traci Nichols is remodeling the 4,262-square-foot Four Seasons Women’s Health clinic at 2011 Rickety Lane for $400,000. Work includes new exterior facade and remodeling the interior and will be done by contractor CBG Root Construction LLC.

Wildwood Park LLC, of Texarkana, filed a permit for demolition work to the 27,000-square-foot former Mattie Jones Elementary School at 2521 W. Front St. Stan Excavating, of Texarkana, is the contractor for the $75,000 project.

Nedwol Properties LLC is constructing a 3,340-square-foot office building at 3180 Park Center for $300,000. Nedwol Ltd. is the contractor.

Aberfeldy III Ltd., of Richardson, is remodeling a 1,167-square-foot office space at 821 ESE Loop 323, Suite 580, for Wells Fargo Bank offices. IEC General Contractors, of Baytown, is the contractor for the $40,845 project.

Tyler Junior College filed a grading permit for its 52,360-square-foot Energy Center. RPR Construction Co. is the contractor.

Michael Bradley is building a 3,838-square-foot office and light commercial building at 1327 Dominion Plaza, Suite 100. The Scates Group Inc. is the contractor.

Two vendors filed transient vendor applications to sell their wares. Juan Barrientos, of Discos Borrientos, is selling CDs on the Panaderia Nuevoleon property, at 323 N. Beckham Ave., from Jan. 3 through Feb. 1. Jose Mares Perez, of Botes Madres, is selling boots at La Michoacana, at 310 N. Beckham Ave., from Jan. 4 through Feb. 2.

Sign permits were filed by Edible Arrangements, 7925 S. Broadway Ave., Suite 1000, $3,000, CHB Interests LLC, Signs Up; Smoke Center, 1721 S. Broadway, $1,000, Imran Batliwalla, Prestige Lara Electric Service; and Bryant Welborn Accounting, 2335 Oak Alley, $500, Tyler Oak Alley LLC, Nedwol Properties LLC.

Commercial Temporary Power Permits were filed by Brick Street Pharmacy, at 312 W. Rusk St.; Happy’s Fish Basket, 2202 E. Fifth St.; and First Baptist Church South’s Youth Building, 17002 U.S. Highway 69 South.

Starr Capital Investments is constructing an 8,056-square-foot home at 6050 Graemont Blvd. for $600,000.

Saleh Blue Ridge LLC is building a 3,429-square-foot house at 1309 Elk River Road for $240,000.

Jeff and Sharon Lohse are constructing a $31,000 pool at 2201 Bradbury Court. Bluehaven Pools is the contractor.

Debra Hoosier-Blakemore is renovating a home at 2305 Lawler Place for $5,000.

Peppard Properties LLC filed for approval for construction at Lake Tyler for a retaining wall at 16822 McElroy Road in Whitehouse.

Quality Construction filed a driveway permit for 7566 Neighbors Road.

There also were three temporary gas permits and six HVAC permits filed.
