Tyler mall getting 2 new women’s stores

Broadway Square Mall is getting two new women’s retail stores.

Soma, of Fort Myers, Fla. filed a building permit for a 2,500-square-foot space for $234,000. White House Black Market, also of Fort Myers, Fla., filed a permit for a 3,448-square-foot space for $195,021. Work includes alterations of the spaces that formerly housed Express for the new tenants, the permits state.

Smith County is remodeling a 15,200-square-foot building at 218 E. Locust St. for its adult probation offices for $1,077,000. Work includes interior remodel, south exterior façade ad north exterior 800-square-foot expansion and façade. Jacobe Brothers Construction is the contractor.

Mike Pile BMW is renovating its showroom and office and adding a service shop to its 23,199-square-foot facility at 2401 WSW Loop 323 for $1 million. Lay Construction is the owner/agent and contractor.

CHMII LLC, of Desoto, filed a commercial permit for a site development and grading plan for Patriot Commons, at 3905 University Blvd. Pack Construction is the contractor for the $300,000 project.

Tyler Independent School District filed permits to move portable classrooms and reinstall porches and steps. They include two, 700-square-foot classrooms for $250 each and a 1,500-square-foot classroom for $750 at Dogan Middle School, 2621 S. Border; and a 1,500-square-foot classroom for $750 at Boulter Middle School, 2926 Garden Valley Road.

Jerry Dengler is finishing a 2,000-square-foot office space at 2211 Roy Road for $48,000. Freedom Construction is the contractor.

Robert Kinsey is adding employee parking at Kinsey Pharmacy, 4290 Kinsey Drive, for $25,000. Capps-Capco Construction Inc. is the contractor.

Bob Garrett is installing a gate operator to control traffic through the parking lot of the Fair Oil Building, 217 S. College Ave. Fair Oil Ltd. is the contractor for the $6,000 project.

Mike McFarlin, of Troup, is removing interior walls and putting up a new wall at the 2,389-square-foot Lone Star Pawn, 508 E. Front St. for $5,000.

Estevan Sandoval is adding a carport for parked cars at Shine on Vine, 1307 S. Vine Ave.

Sign permits were filed for Cumberland Academy Middle School, 1040 Shiloh Road, $3,314, Leon’s Signs Inc.; Novedades Luly, 2720 W. Gentry, $550, Design Center Signs; Gentry Donuts, 1500 W. Gentry, $4,000, Texas Sign Services Inc.; and Saints Peter and Paul Chapel, 1435 ESE Loop 323, $25,000, Church of the Immaculate Conception, Riley Harris Construction LP.

Commercial temporary power permits were filed by Cumberland Academy, 1040 Shiloh Road; The Keys Piano Bar (two permits), 7278 Old Jacksonville Highway, Suite 200; and Freedom Financial Group, 2140 W. Grande.

RESIDENTIAL

Nix Properties filed 24 permits to construct new 1,560-square-foot duplexes for $50,000 each. They include 3960, 3962, 3965, 3968, 3969, 3972, 3973, 3976, 3977, 3980, 3981, 3984, 3985, 3988, 3989 and 3993 Cottage Drive. They also include 3964, 3968, 3972, 3976, 3980, 3984, 3988 and 3992 Duchess Drive. Nix Construction Inc. is the contractor for the project.

Conaway & Sons Ltd. is constructing a 2,680-square-foot house at 6636 Lacebark Circle for $201,545.

Glenn A. Smith Development LLC filed permits to build a 2,664-square-foot home at 5606 Hollytree Drive for $200,000; and a 2,644-square-foot home at 5604 Hollytree Drive for $200,000.

Trent Williams Construction is building a 2,212-square-foot house at 475 Utah Ave. for $135,500. A grading permit was also filed for the address.

C. Cooper Custom Homes Inc. is constructing a 2,262-square-foot house at 5621 Calais Drive for $100,000.

Backyard Connection is building a $65,000 pool at 7637 Light Horse Court; and a $35,000 pool at 3814 Allendale Drive.

Deanne Cain is rebuilding a home after a burn out at 504 W. Fifth St. for $30,000.

Eduardo Betancourt is renovating a home at 501 Baxter for $15,000. Work includes sheetrock, brick, electrical, plumbing, A/C, driveway and roof.

Deon Lennie filed an application for approval for construction on Lake Tyler for a new custom home, at 17911 Gordons Landing Road. Trent Williams Construction is the contractor.

Soto Concrete filed a driveway permit for 5844 Grace.

There also was one temporary gas permit and five HVCA permit filed.
