The Village at Cumberland Park to start signage program

A comprehensive site signage program will place $400,000 worth of major highway and monument signs around The Village at Cumberland Park development, according to a sign permit filed with the city.

Tyler Broadway Centennial LP filed the sign permit for the 80-acre development at 9096 S. Broadway Ave. Accent Graphics Inc., of Grand Prairie, is the contractor.

Concrete pads and buildings are already going up at the site.

Along with the sign permit was included a site plan for the retail development and surrounding area. It includes a four-story, 115-room hotel, a 65,690-square-foot entertainment facility and a nine-screen, 42,400-square-foot cinema.

It also includes at least three restaurants on the South Broadway side of the development, and looping around on Centennial Parkway and Market Square Boulevard, which will both allow access to the center from Broadway, includes six larger anchors, ranging from 6,650 square feet to 50,735 square feet.

The plan also shows 14 junior anchors, ranging from 3,550 square feet to 23,004 square feet. There will be four large retail spaces, of 49,914 square feet to 69,006 square feet, in the center of the development. The plan shows at least five smaller retail spaces on the outer edges of the development, along with four lease spaces and another four spots that are unmarked.

The plan was drawn up by Hodges & Associates Architecture Planning, of Dallas.

 

COMMERCIAL

First Christian Church is demolishing 27,500 square feet of its existing building and constructing a new 19,720-square-foot addition at 4202 S. Broadway Ave. for $3.9 million. Sentry General Contractors Inc. is the contractor.

TMI Hospitality Inc. of Fargo N.D., filed a permit for renovations to the 9,000-square-foot Tyler Fairfield Inn & Suites, at 1945 WSW Loop 323, for $150,000. Work includes demolishing two guest rooms to make a larger breakfast room and new exercise room, provide larger pre-kitchens, guest laundry and update ADA. The remodel will primarily consist of new finishes, furniture and artwork. Ron’s Handyman Service LLC, of Benbrook, is the contractor.

Yin Investments, of Nacogdoches, is reroofing the 4,700-square-foot Where’s Rufus Sports Bar, at 6100 S. Broadway Ave., Suite 100, for $36,950. S. Goodwin Roof Service LLC, of Center, is the contractor.

Sealtite Building Fasteners filed a permit for the concrete foundation for an electrical service transformer at 2320 Commerce St. for $10,000. Nacho Concrete is the contractor.

Sign permits were filed by Kinsey Crossing, 1400 WSW Loop 323, $8,000, Okba Enterprises LLC, Ray Lopez; RBC Wealth Management, 1347 Dominion Place, $800, Richard Haessly Signs Inc.; and Casa Ole, 3701 Troup Highway, $800, Sign Man, of Longview.

Commercial temporary power permits were filed by Paluxy Place, 8366 Paluxy; and West Vision, 2547 Elkton Trail.

 

RESIDENTIAL

Melynda Hensley is constructing a 4,890-square-foot home at 7698 Cress Road for $400,000. Carlyle Homes Inc., of Troup, is the contractor.

Casey Homes is building a 2,161-square-foot home at 2539 Guinn Farms Road for $140,000.

Mobile Investments & Property Rentals filed two permits to construct two 1,976-square-foot homes at 3920 and 3926 Mobley Lane for $105,000 each.

Steve Crane is building a $35,000 pool at 4359 Lazy Creek. Vic Thompson Homes Inc. is the contractor.

Jerry S. Beeler is repairing a roof, electrical and sheetrock damaged by fire at 632 N. Confederate for $20,000.

Michael Hunter is converting a room into a bathroom at 1915 Magnolia Dive for $4,000. Camilo’s Remodeling is the contractor.

Karen Peterson filed a demolition permit for a 2,600-square-foot home at 6300 Sutherland. John Hill is the contractor.

Yes Communities/Shiloh Pines filed seven permits for mobile homes at 2525 Shiloh Road. Troy McGraw is the contractor.

Driveway permits were filed by Cervantes for 5022, 5028 and 5034 Shiloh Ridge Road; Key Concrete for 1327 Dominion Plaza and 2342 Pine Hurst; Taylor Concrete for 6356 Manchester; and Jerome Beardon for Watson Road.

There also were two temporary gas permits, an application for residential temporary electrical service and 10 HVAC permits filed.
