Retailers in Village at Cumberland Park file more permits

Building permits continued to be filed by retailers going into the Village at Cumberland Park shopping center, which expects its first stores to open this month.

Carters, of Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, is working on a 6,875-square-foot space for Carters and Osh Kosh B’Gosh at 8946 S. Broadway Ave. MRS Inc. is the contractor for the $365,816 project.

Tyler Broadway/Centennial LP, of Dallas, is building out a new 5,005-square-foot space for Lane Bryant for $427,000. Embree Group, of Georgetown, is the contractor.

Tyler Broadway/Centennial also is doing a finish out of a 5,317-square-foot space for AT&T at 8922 S. Broadway Ave., Suite 112. Spec-Built, of Carrollton, is the contractor for the $300,000 project.

Dress Barn, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, is doing tenant improvements to a 7,361-square-foot space at 8942 S. Broadway Ave., Suite 180. AR Services LLC is the contractor for the $80,000 project.

Two commercial temporary power permits were filed for The Village at Cumberland Park, at 8946 and 8950 S. Broadway Ave.; as well as the Vitamin Shoppe, at 8922 S. Broadway Ave., Suite 104.

Other commercial permits included K.K. Construction remodeling a space at 2522 Shiloh Road, Suite 100, and turning into a deli for $35,000.

Three permits for telecommunications towers were filed.

Verizon Wireless, of Westlake, is adding 12 antennas and other equipment at 5320 Old Bullard Road for $3,500. C.A. Bass LLC is the contractor.

Nova Towers LLC, of Marietta, Georgia, is constructing a new tower at 3307 Walton Road for $45,000. United Cellular Services Inc. is the contractor.

SBA Properties Inc., of Boca Raton, Florida, is doing a maintenance upgrade for Sprint to a tower at 311 E. Ninth St. for $10,000. SBA Communications Corp. is the contractor.

Design Center Signs filed sign permits for Time It Lube Carwash, 2123 WSW Loop 323; Mary V’s, 7264 Old Jacksonville; Jim C. Morrison DDS, 215 W. Rusk St.; and Prosperity Bank, 2507 University Blvd.

Sign permits also were filed by Nova Medical Center, 747 S. Beckham Ave., $14,000, Brent Ronde, Nova Healthcare Management, Humble Sign Co.; Tyler Athletics, 5520 Old Jacksonville Highway, Brian Minton, Sign Masters of Tyler; College Bound, 1501 Easy St., $2,500, Richard McCellar, Pieter Cilliers; VIP Nail Salon, 7492 S. Broadway, Dan Spivey, Roosth Properties, Turner Sign Systems; Hooper Tyler Properties, 4803 Old Bullard Road, Harley Hooper, Suntec Signs Inc.; Cash Store, 6721 S. Broadway, $5,000, East Texas Signs; and Paradise Day Spa, 3415 S. Broadway, Smith Electric Signs.

A temporary use permit was filed by La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries for a temporary Labor Day Tent Sale at 6000 S. Broadway.

Commercial temporary power permits were filed for a parking lot at 401 W. Erwin St.; Dollar General, 5150 Chandler Highway; and TISD CTC, 3013 Earl Campbell Parkway.

 

RESIDENTIAL

Glory Builders Inc. is constructing a 2,072-square-foot home at 6155 Havens Trail for $175,000.

JP Pool Home Builder LLC is building a 3,142-square-foot house at 4338 Madera Drive for $170,000; a 2,532-square-foot home at 4354 Madera for $160,000; and a 2,778-square-foot home at 4346 Madera for $165,000.

Jack King Jr. is constructing a grotto near the pool for exterior dining for $46,000 at 1920 S. Chilton. Riley Harris Construction is the contractor.

Bud Page is building a garage at 8458 Southland Drive for $9,500.

Anne Nunn is constructing a storage building at 101 E. Sheridan St. for $8,000.

Glenda and Charles Griffin filed for approval for construction at Lake Tyler for their home at 17583 Southpoint Road. Work includes a new septic system, removing a storage shed, building a metal building, moving the carport and adding a bedroom bathroom and covered porch to the house. Jeff Carnes is the contractor.

Precision Fence and Deck, of Greenville, is replacing windows for Kirk Western at 2118 Dover Lane for $300; and three windows for Tracy Grace at 735 Joel Drive for $1,698.

Driveway permits were filed by Martin Martinez for 3992 Spartanburg Lane; and Gonzalez Concrete for 1940 Stonegate Place.

There also were 15 HVAC permits, eight duct testing reports, three applications for residential temporary electrical service and one mechanical permit filed.
