Holiday Inn South Broadway getting $500K in renovations

Holiday Inn South Broadway is undergoing $500,000 in renovations to its restaurant and lounge areas. Sandhu Management Inc., of Richmond, Virginia, filed the building permit for the remodel at 5701 S. Broadway Ave. RPR Construction is the contractor.

New Jersey-based The Vitamin Shoppe is finishing out a 2,500-square-foot space in The Village at Cumberland Park retail center, at 8922 S. Broadway Ave., Suite 104. Work includes new walls, finishes and fixtures, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Hunter Building Corp., of Houston, is the contractor for the $120,000 project.

Sign permits were filed by Denson Construction Management, 2210 Three Lakes Parkway, $1,200, Jeff Denson, PDQ Signs; Rowdy Taco, 7922 S. Broadway Ave., Suite A, $3,000, Sign Mart; Mattress HQ, 6721 S. Broadway, Suite 200, $14,000, Sign Mart; Taco Bell, 5975 Old Jacksonville Highway, $48,682, Design Center Signs; Broadway Barber Shop, 2107 S. Broadway Ave., $1,000, Design Center Signs; South Central Church of Christ, 3415 Frankston Highway, Leon’s Signs Inc.; and Bethel Bible Church, 202 S. Broadway, Sign Masters of Tyler.

Commercial temporary power permits were filed by Scooter’s Coffee, 3979 University Blvd.; Dixie Elementary School, 213 Patton Lane, Building 2; and Rice Elementary School, 409 Carriage Drive, Building 2.



I’Dell Investments LLC filed two permits to construct 2,222-square-foot houses at 5006 and 5010 Forestwood Blvd. for $150,000 each.

Preferred Pools, of Whitehouse, is constructing a $55,000 pool at 2111 Dueling Oaks.

Josh Ebright is redoing a kitchen at 316 Mockingbird for $30,000. Skye Homes Inc., of Whitehouse, is the contractor.

Jessica Battle is replacing windows, building a closet for an A/C unit and laying linoleum flooring at 1010 N. Confederate for $5,000.

Brooks Inn & Prop. LLC filed a demolition permit for an 880-square-foot residence at 826 Buckley Ave. for $5,000. Afford/Serv is the contractor.

Annette Washington is adding a covered walkway from the patio roof to an out building at 810 David Drive for $2,800. Best Home Imp. is the contractor.

Antonio’s Co. is building a carport for Juan A. Banda at 224 S. Fairmont for $2,500.

Rafael Zuniga is putting in a carpool shade at 2406 N. Industrial Ave. for $2,500.

Anthony Lockridge is doing framing work at 1322 Butler for $1,100. BDF Construction is the contractor.

A-Z Construction is replacing a door for John Dissly at 3900 Cloverdale for $485.

Ben Wright filed for approval for construction on Lake Tyler East to install an aerobic sewage system at 16919 Wilson Road.

Driveway permits were filed by Mandy Jentes, Moss Concrete, 3222 Lynnwood Drive, $5,000; Jerone Bearden, 401 W. Erwin St.; Key Concrete, 7360 Standing Rock Lane; and JC Johnson, 728 Moore Ave.

There also were 23 HVAC permits, one mechanical permit, two temporary gas permits, two applications for residential temporary electrical service and four duct testing reports filed.
