TISD files permit for new Boulter

Tyler Independent School District filed a building permit to construct the new 155,382-square-foot Boulter Middle School for $26 million.

TISD will construct the new school behind the current school, at 2926 Garden Valley Road. After construction is complete, the old school will be demolished under a separate permit. WRL General Contractors is the contractor.



A commercial building permit for a Walmart Neighborhood Market at 6161 Old Jacksonville Highway was voided after the project was reportedly put on hold.

The permit, filed Dec. 30, was for a 41,964-square-foot store for $3.5 million.

Email correspondence between the city and engineers on the project on Feb. 3 show that they project has been halted.

“It is our understanding that Walmart No. 6806 (Neighborhood Market) at Grande and Old Jacksonville, is being put on hold by the client,” an email from Karl Seydler, project engineer with city of Tyler Development Services, stated.

“That is correct. … This project is currently on hold,” Sean Millot, engineer with Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc. of Reston, VA, replied.

A Walmart Neighborhood Market at is set to open April 2 at 1900 ESE Loop 323.



Karren and Adam Comer are adding a 2,000-square-foot warehouse at Broadcast Works, at 2105 Anthony Drive, for $45,000.

Therapet is joining suites 200 and 300 at 225 E. Amherst into one space, relocating the interior walls, painting, flooring and electrical work for a 2,432-square-foot facility for dog training for hospital visitation. Carlyle Homes is the contractor for the $25,000 project.

The Tyler Morning Telegraph demolished a 5,200-square-foot building at 409 W. Erwin St. for $20,000. Tyler Demolition was the contractor.

Reid Construction Inc. is installing partition walls, offices and bathroom at 4588 Old Troup Highway Suite 3D for Drager, with auto safety diagnostics equipment, for $14,000.

Reid also is installing walls, offices and bathroom at Suite 20 for Lylas by Moss, an online clothing distribution business, for $7,000.

KIMSE CO is listed as the owner of both projects.

Juan Barron is reroofing Don Juan Mexican Restaurant, at 1313 E. Erwin St., for $9,800. Ramos Roofing is the contractor.

American Town Corp., of Boston, is adding three LTE antennas and six TMA’s diplexers to an existing cell tower at 4359 Old Troup Highway for $5,000. L.A. Bass LLC is the contractor.

Verian Investments is adding a small wall with sliding window and door at 115 Jordan Plaza, Suite 207, for $1,500. Landbridge Commercial is the contractor.

Herd Ranch LP filed four commercial permits to clear lots of scrub brush and dead trees. The four lots of “Herd family land” are at 1622, 1672 and 1677 Hamilton Blvd. and 3557 Cotton Valley Drive. A use for the property was not given. Berry and Clay Construction, of Rusk, is the contractor on the projects, which cost $5,500 each.

Tyler Junior College is installing a 12-by-16 pad with privacy fence for a stand for the campus police department. BNK Services is the contractor for the $2,300 project.

Southern Classic Holdings LLC filed a demolition permit for work on the 3,550-square-foot Classic Used Cars at 6721 S. Broadway Ave. Tyler Roofing Co. Inc. is the contractor for the $7,500 project.

Sign permits were filed by N2 Vapor, 322 ESE Loop 323, $650, Design Center Signs; Habitat for Humanity, 822 W. Front St., $2,085, Design Center Signs; Planet Fitness, 2747 E. Fifth St., $5,300, Leon’s Signs Inc.; Bow Plaza, 1114 Bow St., $937, Ed Thompson, Leon’s; and Horace Mann, 1424 WSW Loop 323, $797, Leon’s.

On the Border filed a temporary use permit for May 3 and 4 for a Cinco de Mayo celebration at 4301 S. Broadway Ave.

Susie Hurley filed a temporary use permit for House Nursery — Garden Center to sell plans, trees and annuals at 2700 WSW Loop 323 from March 18 through April 30.

The Tyler Convention and Visitors Bureau filed a temporary use permit for signs for Tours of Tyler, carriage rides and public restrooms along the Azalea Trail, from March 20 through April 7.

A commercial temporary power permit was filed by Kelly Nail, 1400 WSW Loop 323 No. 40.



John Eiche is building a 7,871-square-foot home at 7516 Cross Road for $750,000. Harris Building Co., of Palestine, is the contractor.

Stonebridge Tyler LLC filed eight permits for new duplexes at 4014, 4016, 4053, 4055, 4059, 4061, 4065 and 4067 Stonebridge Drive. The units will be 2,110 square foot each and cost $100,000 each.

C. Cooper Custom Homes is building a 3,093-square-foot home at 8529 Castleton Way for $200,000.

Tobias and Heather Rebmann are building a $62,000 pool at 4425 Lazy Creek Drive. Trinity Valley Pools, of Palestine, is the contractor.

Backyard Connection LLC is building a $50,000 pool at 1925 Equestrian Lane.

Maria Kulma is constructing a $36,000 pool at 508 W. Sixth St. Excel Pools & Landscape is the contractor.

Minnie Smith is renovating a home at 3106 Walton Road for $17,000. Guillermo Lopez is the contractor.

TLS Carpentry Maintenance, of Judson, filed permits to replace 18 windows at 206 E. Houston for $5,611; and six windows at 5113 Kingspark for $3,200.

Lowes is replacing 11 windows for Mary Cloyd at 2302 Dietz for $4,761.

Wayne Lewis is replacing three doors at 5906 Foxcroft for $3,710. All Seasons Window & Door is the contractor.

William D. Sawyer filed a demolition permit for a residence at 2625 Old Henderson Highway for $3,600.

Charles Sanchez is putting a storage unit at 1617 Edgewood Drive for $3,500. Tuff Shed is the contractor.

David Renteria is closing car porch to make a dining room at 1803 N. Hill St. for $2,000. Modern Homes Construction is the contractor.

John G. Myers is replacing a door at 4607 New Castle for $625.

Leon and Kathy Dozier filed an application for approval for construction at Lake Tyler East to add on a bedroom to a home at 14761 Big Oak Bay Road.

Yes Communities/Shiloh Pines filed permits for two mobile homes at 2525 Shiloh Road. Troy McGraw is the contractor.

Francis Concrete filed driveway permits for 6715 Speedway Court; 6932 Park Slope; 4044 Hanover Place; and 1430 ESE Loop 323.
