Tyler Junior College files for new permit

Tyler Junior College filed a $7 million building permit to construct its 52,360-square-foot, three-story Energy Center. RPR Construction Co. is the contractor.

Bob Kurtz Properties is constructing East Texas Executive Apartments for $545,000. The 7,561-square-foot apartment building will be built at 112 E. Front St.

Mattress HQ is finishing out a 4,000-square-foot shell at the Kinsey Krossing retail center, at 1332 WSW Loop 323, for $100,000. Michael Martin, of Allen, is the owner while Dundee Construction is the contractor.

Spur 248 Realty filed a permit for site grading, paving and underground utilities for a Steak & Shake restaurant at 3915 University Blvd. Pack Construction is the contractor for the $16,000 project.

Yolo Properties is removing walls, adding new doors, floor and paint to the 4,124-square-foot space that formerly housed Julian’s for a new restaurant at 5201 S. Broadway Ave., Suite 122, in Time Square center. Pyle Properties is the contractor for the $15,000 project.

Bethel Bible Church is renovating all three floors of its 18,300-square-foot building, at 202 S. Broadway Ave., for $250,000. Berry & Clay Construction, of Rusk, is the contractor.

Central Baptist Church, at 1343 E. Grande Blvd., is expanding its west parking lot and adding landscaping for $158,000. Watson Commercial Ltd. is the contractor.

Brookshire Grocery Co. is adding 30 parking spaces at its museum, at 4702 Old Jacksonville Highway, for $48,000. Brookshire Facility Services is the contractor.

Garry Rayson is expanding Rayson’s Auto & Body building to four bays in the back and expanding the front office, at 1326 W. Gentry Parkway, for $45,000.

Camden Jones is removing three trees, constructing a 15,277-square-foot parking lot and adding a fence for the Velocity Mazda service department, at 2425 WSW Loop 323. T.W.M. Builders, of Flint, is the contractor for the $22,400 project.

Property Manager Barbara Boazman filed a permit to demolish two parking areas and replace them and add two ramps to meet ADA standards at Shiloh Office Park, at 921 Shiloh Road, for $5,000. Moss Concrete is the contractor.

Michael Prince is removing wood flooring and one wall and painting a cardio room at 360 Fitness, at 535 WSW Loop 323, Suite 105, for $3,300. Neely Construction, of Chandler, is the contractor.

Jose Trinidad Mares Perez filed a transient vendor application to sell boots through his business, Botas Mares, outside of La Michoacana, at 310 N. Beckham Ave. from Feb. 8 through March 9.

A commercial temporary power permit was filed for a doctor’s office at 1114 W. Bow St. Ed Thompson Construction is the contractor.


Tom Brazier is constructing a 3,244-square-foot home at 1234 Dreamcatcher for $265,000. Campbell Custom Homes Inc., of Bullard, is the contractor.

C. Cooper Custom Homes Inc. is building two 3,093-square-foot homes at 1499 and 1545 Elk River Road for $200,000 each.

Joe E. Johnson is adding a new entry and bedroom and remodeling existing spaces at 1623 Dennis Drive for $75,000.

Kelley Vannatta is replacing eight windows at 1393 Luann for $2,924. All Seasons Window & Door, of Longview, is the contractor.

A-Z Construction is replacing a door for Johnny Cates at 2917 Keenan Drive for $677; and one door for Brad Baker at 3101 Masters Circle for $643.

Driveway permits were filed by Joe Monsivuis for 2809 Greenwood Lane; Glory Builders for 5835 Havens Trail; and Key Concrete for 7364 and 7368 Standing Rock.

There also was one application for residential temporary electrical service, two mechanical permits and 7 HVAC permits filed.
