Tyler ISD file permits for Dixie, Rice upgrades

Tyler Independent School District filed building permits for renovations to Rice and Dixie Elementary schools.

Work to both campuses includes new classrooms and offices, gym and cafeteria, upgrading security and existing room finishes. The work at the 84,000-square-foot Rice Elementary facility, at 409 Carriage; and the 84,000-square-foot Dixie Elementary, cost $11 million each. RPR Construction Co. Inc. is the contractor for both projects.

East Loop 323 Management LLC, of Longview, is constructing a new 44,000-square-foot La Quinta Inn at 2552 SSE Loop 323 for $2 million.

Phil Burks, of MBCG, LLC, is constructing a 4,620-square-foot shell for office space at 5721 Eagles Nest Blvd. for $700,000. Denson Construction Management LLC is the contractor for the Corporate Green North 6, Phase I, Building 1 project.

Camden Jones is building out three offices and one break room and installing five cubicles, painting and doing electrical work at the 4,600-square-foot Velocity Mazda dealership, at 2501 WSW Loop 323 for $29,400. T.W.M. Builders, of Flint, is the contractor.

Bryan Bateman, of Whitehouse, is widening the driveway by 15 feet at The Shops at Cumberland, at 7924 S. Broadway Ave., for $20,000. Moss Concrete, of Whitehouse, is the contractor.

Yolo Properties is finishing out a 1,500-square-foot shell for a dress shop at 5101 S. Broadway Ave. for $20,000.

The city of Tyler is framing the inside of a 2,400-square-foot metal building at the Oakwood complex with three walls for a Solid Waste Meeting Room for $5,000.

Don Wright is removing a wall at the Rose City Activity Center, at 8358 Paluxy, for $1,000. Markcontell Construction Co. is the contractor.

Sign permits were filed by Texas East Gymnastics, 1937 Deerbrook Drive, $1,672, Leon’s Signs Inc.; Paradise Vapor, 2525 B E. Fifth St., $2,676, Leon’s; Classic Tyler Motors Inc., 1717 WSW Loop 323, $2,800, Southeast Texas Auto Group (Classic Toyota), Monday Sign Service; and Aspen Dental, 4164 S. Broadway, $4,985, Tyler 323 Broadway LLC, Colobal Signs Inc., of Fort Worth.

Commercial temporary power permits were filed by Aspen Dental, 4164 S. Broadway; IHOP, 209 SSW Loop 323; and Edible Arrangements, 7925 S. Broadway Ave., No. 1000.

 

RESIDENTIAL

Trent Williams Construction is building a 6,486-square-foot home at 2025 Equestrian for $548,513.

CFR Holdings LLC is constructing a 3,903-square-foot house at 1004 Cambridge Bend for $295,000. David Cooper Quality Homes LLC is the contractor.

Holly Varga is adding to a bedroom and adding a bathroom at 2418 Pinehurst for $80,000. David Lowe Homes is the contractor.

Ramiro Barajas is building a 1,276-square-foot home at 3204 Seaton St. for $60,000.

Bruce Insalaco is building a $50,000 pool at 6902 Glen Eagle. Preferred Pools is the contractor.

Dennis and Dr. Rebecca Cali are adding a sun room, deck and pergola at 1940 Stonegate Valley Drive for $45,000. Straightline Siding is the contractor.

Ann Darnley is rebuilding a deck and adding a pergola at 3902 Lazy Creek for $13,000.

Philip Matthews is replacing a roof at 3806 New Copeland Road for $9,500.

Ralph Turner filed a driveway permit for 2517 S. Fleishel for $500.

Heidi and Terry Carriveau filed for approval for construction at Lake Tyler to remove trees at 15870 McElroy Road in Whitehouse.

There were also six temporary gas permits, two residential temporary electrical permits, one mechanical and 16 HVAC permits filed.
