At about 8 p.m. Saturday, Gregg County Deputies responded to 166 Spokane Street in Gladewater for a suspicious person call. While speaking with the complainant, deputies noticed the odor of marijuana and asked for consent to search the residence. Upon the resident refusing consent, a warrant was obtained and deputies subsequently located over 212 pounds of marijuana valued at nearly $130,000. Also found on the property were digital scales, a grinder and five firearms.
Thirty-seven year old Patrick Charles Christian was arrested for possession of marijuana (more than 50 pounds and less than 2,000 pounds) and transported to the Gregg County Jail. Christian’s bond has been set at $10,000.
