Sheriff Maxey Cerliano and the Gregg County Sheriffâ€™s Office this morning announced the arrest of a Gregg County man in possession of over 200 pounds of marijuana.
At about 8 p.m. Saturday, Gregg County Deputies responded to 166 Spokane Street in Gladewater for a suspicious person call. While speaking with the complainant, deputies noticed the odor of marijuana and asked for consent to search the residence. Upon the resident refusing consent, a warrant was obtained and deputies subsequently located over 212 pounds of marijuana valued at nearly $130,000. Also found on the property were digital scales, a grinder and five firearms.
Thirty-seven year old Patrick Charles Christian was arrested for possession of marijuana (more than 50 pounds and less than 2,000 pounds) and transported to the Gregg County Jail. Christianâ€™s bond has been set at $10,000.
