Officials this morning continue to warn motorists to 'take it slow,' as there have been numerous fender-benders and slide-offs since late last night.
DPS officials, this morning, said TxDOT has informed them that most roadways have icy conditions, but that Hwy 64 West and the I-20 corridor are where the majority of accidents and slide-offs have occured.
At this time, ONCOR reports 2,100 customers in Tyler are without power. Spokesperson Charles Hill told the Tyler Morning Telegraph that resources are coming into Tyler from the Dallas area to begin troubeshooting problems. However, Hill said, it could be late afternoon before the majority of customers have their power restored.
Forecast calls for a high of 47 degrees today.
