Police and family members are looking for a Jacksonville man who has been missing for two weeks.

Randal Roberson, 28, was last seen around 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 21, said Jacksonville Police Det. Jeremy Pate. Roberson was headed to meet a friend in New Summerfield but never arrived and never returned home, Pate said.

Roberson’s car was found two days later on County Road 4223, about four miles north of New Summerfield. Pate said he car appeared to be in good shape and was not wrecked.

“We do not know at this time the reason for him being missing,” Pate said. “He has not been to work either, and no one has heard from him. We followed numerous information reports, and nothing led us to being able to find him as of yet.”

The family has hosted several search parties in the area where his car was found, a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter flew over the New Summerfield area, and the department has chased down several leads, but Roberson has not turned up.

Roberson has black hair and brown eyes. He is 6’1 and weighs about 210 pounds.

Anyone with information on the location of Roberson is asked to call the Jacksonville Police Department at 903-596-6265.
