Winona ISD will dismiss school at noon because of a power outage.

District Superintendent Denise Shetter said the buses will run as normal at that time and parents of non-bus riders should make arrangements to have their children picked up.

Ms. Shetter said they have heard that fallen trees on power lines caused the outage, which has affected all three district campuses and the administration building.

The power is not expected to return until after 2 p.m. today. Winona ISD serves about 1,000 students from pre-K through 12th grade.
