A Rusk County couple was robbed at gunpoint Monday while two or three men went through the home taking objects and fleeing in the couple’s truck.
The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office was called at 10:16 p.m. to a home on County Road 137, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Two or three people dressed in dark clothing, facemasks and gloves, approached a woman outside her home and forced her back into her house using a rifle and pistol.
The robbers then tied up her husband while the woman led them through the house as they selected items and money to take.
After they took the desired items, the robbers told the couple to remain there and not move for a short period of time.
The robbers stole an undisclosed amount of money and jewelry and drove away using the couple’s work truck.
The truck is a gray 2012 Ford F150, Platinum Edition with license plate BLG6943.
Anyone with information on the robbers or the truck is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 903-657-3581.
