Warrant issued for man following late Wednesday shooting in Tyler

Tyler police are searching for Guillermo Flores Jr., age not disclosed, for whom an arrest warrant was issued following a late Wednesday shooting.

Witnesses at the Taco Bell, 7425 South Broadway, told police that a male, later identified as Guillermo Flores Jr., fired several rounds from a pistol toward Joseph Gilliam just prior to 11:30 p.m. Once officers arrived on scene, it was discovered that both Flores and Gilliam were involved in a verbal altercation. The altercation then led to shots being fired. No one was injured during the shooting, and Flores left prior to the officers' arrival. Once the initial investigation took place, a detective with the Crimes Against Person Unit was called to the scene to complete an arrest warrant on Flores. The warrant was for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Judge Kennedy issued the warrant and set a $250,000 bond.
