The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible drowning in Cedar Creek Lake.

A SeaDoo water ski was found unattended around 5:25 p.m. Saturday on the lake, near other boaters, with a life jacket hanging on the ski’s side, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Game wardens and deputies began to search the area where the water ski was found, and around 8 p.m. on Sunday a body was found.

The man was identified as 62-year-old Robert Ralph George, of Dallas.

George’s body was sent for an autopsy and the cause of death is held pending a toxicology screening, the release states.

The investigation is ongoing.
