The University of Texas at Tyler Meadows Gallery will house the UT Tyler Master of Fine Arts Alumni Art Exhibition beginning Tuesday, Ray Sikes, gallery coordinator, announced.

All with art on display earned the master of fine arts degree from the university.

“Of the 14, some are teachers, some are independent artists, and some work for museums and galleries,” Sikes said. “All are still practicing artists producing a variety of art in many different mediums.”

Artists in the show include Joanette Duncan, Tommy Nays, Brandon Nepote, Jonathan Syltie, Mark Anderson, Allison Chew, Jennifer Shepard, Chelsey Cope, Sue Duran, Abhidnya Ghuge, Michal Durham, Paula McDermott, Briana Sutton and Miles Mayfield.

A reception and gallery talk is set from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at the gallery in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.

The exhibition will continue through Friday, Oct. 10.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
