Tyler improvisational troupe Card 53 will perform at 8 p.m. on Sept. 6 in Liberty Hall. Roadside Coach, improv comedians from the Dallas Comedy House, will open the show, said information from Liberty Hall.

Card 53 is made up of Austin Day, Jamey Whitley, Aaron Smith, Brad Johnson, Jason Folks, Steve Hargrave and Erfan Vafaie.

It is the first time Card 53 will be featured in a show at Liberty with an act from Dallas Comedy House, an improvisational theater and school operated by Amanda and Kyle Austin, of Tyler.

Dallas Comedy House hosts the Dallas Comedy Festival, which has featured Tim Meadows of “Saturday Night Live,” Michael Keegan Key of “Key and Peele” and Frank Caeti from “MADtv.”

“Amanda and I have been talking about working together for a while now,” said Whitley, founder of the East Texas Comedy Festival. “The fact that we both produce festivals and share a love of improv is great, but with Amanda I feel a sense of family knowing she’s also a Tylerite.”

The event is for mature audiences 17 years and older. Tickets are available for $15 on the website and will be sold for $20 or at the door, 103 E. Erwin St., one hour before the show.
